Alpha Boys School Radio (www.alphaboysschoolradio.com) is a 24/7 streaming radio station and an experiential learning platform for students attending the Alpha School of Music. ABSR offers a student scholarship and a paid internship opportunity in which a student interested in audio technology gains real world experience working alongside experienced radio personnel. With 45,000+ listeners every month tuning in from around the world, ABSR is also an effective outlet for students’ audio and radio coursework.
ABSR was launched in 2013 with support from WXGR LP Dover (New Hampshire, USA) and Gritty, LLC, a non-profit led by Michael Wadleigh, Oscar-winner for the 1970 music documentary “Woodstock”. Every song on ABSR includes at least one performer or producer who attended Alpha Boys School, or more recently, the Alpha School of Music.
