The Alpha School of Music is proud to announce the opening of a newly equipped practice room, designed to give musicians the space and tools they need to grow their craft.

For the first time, the facilities will be available not only to Alpha students but also for public rental, offering aspiring and professional musicians across Kingston a dedicated environment to refine their skills. Whether preparing for an audition, rehearsing with a band, or working on personal technique, the new state-of-the-art Wenger Soundlok practice rooms provide the best acoustical environment for uninterrupted music instruction, rehearsal and an acoustically dry environment, accurately reflecting sound so that musicians can hear what they are truly playing.

This milestone has been made possible with support from the Creative Caribbean project, implemented by UNESCO, The University of the West Indies, and CARICOM and funded by the European Union. The initiative invests in cultural infrastructure and creative opportunities across the region, recognising the power of the arts to generate both social and economic impact. At Alpha, the installation of a Wenger Soundlok Practice Room is a critical part of Alpha students training. The new practice room also creates opportunities for teachers to teach, bands to rehearse and musicians in the community to practice in a professional and comfortable space.
